    Public Holiday (non working day)
Recommendation for taking a day off / paid leave
Day from previous or next year

Important: According to Section 4 of the Public Holidays Act, if any day designated as a public holiday falls on a Saturday or a Sunday, the next following day that is not already a public holiday will be observed as a public holiday instead. This provision ensures that the public holiday is still recognized and observed, effectively shifting the day off to the next available weekday.

According to the Employment and Labour Relations Act of 2004, employees who are required to work on official public holidays are entitled to additional compensation.
